Thanked: 431st Anniversary Gift from my Lovely Wife
I just had to share the gift I just got from my wife for our first anniversary. She's really begun to understand and support my newfound love for straight razors, and wanted to get me a gift that supports it. As I've been talking about a small, lockable (we're about to have our first child) box to keep my daily razors in, she found an antique box, and an old plate display shelf to keep some of my hones and whatnot in in my little workshop, or my soaps if I choose to put it in the bathroom (though our 1 bathroom is quite small).
Aren't they pretty?
I just love the grain and colouring!

Congratulations!!
First and foremost, allow me to congratulate you and your wife on your 1st year anniversary and for the prospects of soon becoming parents.
Secondly...what a nice gift. That box is certainly gorgeous. is it an antique? Lockable too? Woowww...even better
Enjoy it and happy storage and honing

Congratulations on the milestone!
Thats a really great looking box you have there, and it should be very useful for keeping bub's fingers away from sharp edges as well!
You have a wonderful wife, those are great gifts!

Congratulations on your two wonderful milestones! Or, as my Japanese wife would say, omedetou!
You clearly found the right woman to marry. She picked some wonderful gifts. If she has a burning desire to buy gifts for anyone else as her nesting instinct gets honed, I'm happy to provide my address for delivery!

Thanked: 43Thanks, everyone; she's definitely a keeper!
Nicknbleeding: You're probably right; they told her it was a plate holder, but it really does look like a prayer book holder from a pew...<laugh> How can you tell I don't spend a lot of time in church? It never even occurred to me...
