Clauss in ivory I got for free....
Went to a local antique store yesterday and asked if the proprietor had any straight razors. He summarily produced a box of mostly user grade straights in mediocre condition...and then I saw it, a Clauss in great shape scaled in ivory <drool>
Unfortunately, I won't have any more money until the first of the month...so I had to walk away. Then, last night I came up with an idea. I gathered up a few fountain pens I don't use anymore and took them down to the store today in the hopes that we could work out a trade. One Sheaffer Balance and Conklin Crescent Filler later, I came home with this:

Don't have my DSLR at the moment, so I'm stuck taking cell phone pics...yuck.

You guys on here tend to be quite lucky. My experience in local antique stores have been quite sad. Good on you and quality way to live. I know all too many people who cannot give up something they don't use.

nice condition, ivory scales most have some cracks. What about yours?
