NEW Goldedge
Won this goldedge on eBay and was deciding what to use to try to clean the goldwash without removing to much. Well I decided to use household ammonia it works on gold chains and rings right, so I used a soft bristle toothbrush. I think it worked OK. Then used metal polish on the blade. The fingerprint is what is leftover from the stain on that side of blade. I guess I will need to get it polished by a pro to remove that.

I agree. That's a nice looking razor. Congratulations.
As for the goldwash...There's little that you can do to clean that up without removing it. If you want additional advice concerning a light restoration of your dubl duck, PM me."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
