    Default Custom from Del1rium Blank

Just finished putting scales on one of the "blanks" that Del1rium was so gracious to buy, cut out, and ship to those interested in making their own razor. Many Thanks to Del1rium for making this possible! Show are pictures of a 7/8 french point with scales made of black paper micarda. Spacer is orange g10. A knife maker friend of mine, Max Butcher, ground the blank, shaped, and added the jimps. He has made knives for almost 40 years and this was one of the three razors that he has ground.

    Cool Ronnie! How's the shave?

Funny you posted this right now, I just put the finishing touches on my first two blades (they've been a day away from heat treating for about 6 months ). Hopefully they won't take me that long to finish !

Shave is pretty nice! Have the other 2 blanks finished and scaled !

Will put them up soon. Good luck with your blades

Nice! My favorite profile for a blade. Beautiful work.

    Looks very nice.

How thick is the spine or the blank before grinding?

Seems like we ground the blank to 1/4 inch and worked from there.

    Ronnie
That is correct, the blanks were 1/4 (plus a hair or two) thick.
