    Default Wade & Butcher

My dad found this nice W&B in a local shop for me , and he has cleaned up a bit. I received this razor some time ago , but never post any photos. I assume I made a nice score here .

Says Extra Hollow Ground. Nice big blade looks to be a 7/8. Please correct me on the size if I am wrong I am not good on size yet... The scales are not good and has a crack near the pin. I think in time I will send it off for a rescale job.

It seems my local antique shops have been quite good to me.

I think she's beautiful.A fairly unique grind and blade etch both.Definitely worth new scales or even a full restore...

She looks nice (although I agree she could use a new set of clothes). The important part, though, is how does she shave????

    Thanks!

Yes, indeed I have my dad looking for me as he has time and found this gem! This needs to be honed It definatly will shave once honed as it is. I am considering a restore with some very nice scales.. Might be one I may send off to Max.. What do you think?

I think that is a perfect idea... I'd love to see what max does with this one.

Those razors are beautiful, and the are on my list of razors I'd like. Easy enough to measure the size, but I'd guess she's 6/8 or so - it's not easy to tell by looking at photos, but I think most I've seen are 6/8.

    Nice razor!

I love W&B's, they take a really sharp but smooth edge. Plus they always look stellar, and this beauty is no exception!

    Hope you enjoy it..!

That is a really nice W&B, with an unusual profile that looks easy to hold while shaving. Congratulations! The crack does not look like a big issue except cosmetic-new scales and some restoration would look great but that razor is very useable as is, IMO.
