    You were right. The bone needed some real honeing done and it was killer. Thought I had a good edge but needed the finish with tape on the spine to make it a real winner.

    I can add a big +1 to that...great shaver (le grelot hospital) and a big PITA to hone...at first I thought is just me, but I have little problem with most of my other razors. My 5/8 Grelot always put me to the test!!

    I think it's just cuz it's a harder metal?

    But man when you get it right it's like a hot knife through butter. Nothing stands in it's way.

    Concerning honing when you finish the bevel and get her up to snuff they are razors that always seem to hone up very easily and consistent. Great razor.
