Nice catch...
Lucked out on these, approx. 10 usd incl shipping. Both have little hone wear and scales are nice. The oldy seems to have nice and healthy steel.
Does anyone know what the old one is?

Thanked: 1371The stamp on the old one was probably readable before someone took a low grit buffer to it.
Congrats on your finds!

The "Warranted" is probably dates from 1820 or earlier, from the stub tang and scale shape. Probably cannot make a shaver out of it without a destructive metal removal process during honing, but looks very nice as a collector. The Bingham, on the other hand, looks like it could make a fine shaver. Congratulations on a nice pair of razors!

Thank you Sham and everyone else!
Croaker: The steel seems to be healthy, why is it needed to remove more metal than normal during honing? It´s approx 2 mm of hone wear on her.

Croaker: Sorry, I did mean approx. 0.1 - 0.2 mm.
