My recent acquisition from the Bay was this 13/16" Maher & Grosh, Radium Steel, Extra Hard. I won it for a song (snipe when I least expected).

I am not crazy about the scales and as such will be going to Max for a restore/rescale. There's good amount of etching remaining and I hope that buffing the patina/pitting will keep most of it intact.

I just wanted to find out if anyone knew anything about the maker/manufacturer? I know they started business from 1875 in Ohio, but other than that, don't know much more about this blade.

Any information will be appreciated...Was this a good purchase or a bad one?
