    Default Birthday Weekend Score!

Okay, so Monday is my birthday and my wonderful girlfriend surprised me with a very nice Thiers Issard razor case that holds seven straights. I only own seven currently, so it is perfect.

We also took a trip into Manhattan and visited Pasteur Pharmacy on Lexington. The place is like a little toy store. I limited myself to $100 so I only walked out with a few products. The prices were a little higher than you can get things online, but it was fun to see all of these products right there in front of you. I ended up with Tabac cream, Alt Innsbruck Cologne, Musgo Real Aftershave Balm and an alum block.

All in all, a good weekend!

I think your girlfriend is hoping you will add a wife to your collection Seems like it might be a good idea. Super nice gift!

    Thumbs up

    Happy (early) birthday Frank

Great display BTW ...I have the same one + a 28-razor set. Both are fantastic. I keep the 7-day set for regular weekly rotations and the other, for the rest of my blades which are oiled up until ready to use. Thiers makes very nice display cases

Default may g/f continue here fine fine ways

Well, the g/f became the Mrs. about 5.5 yrs ago. It can still be that good.

For Bday, the lovely bride buys me this:
6/8 1/4 hol. Wacker in blond horn

That's pretty fine in itself, but this wk she broke my brain. The next photo will make it clear why.

    Default It is

The honorable Riooso is letting go of it. 'Can't wait. 'Still on the list, but that likely won't come up until next June. It was the size, grind I wanted. 'On the fence on Barber's notch vs Spanish point (he does both beautifully). I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on all that beautiful file work and then the wife says: I'll help (meaning 90% of it). I was toast.

Though this one isn't the clean plain jane, I suspect the one I order when my turn comes will be one of the less fancy, clean, graceful kind. I liked the Hart Steel immediately for that reason, but I honestly don't know anyone that does clean and graceful like Williams. I think it's harder to do than fancy.
