Looks nice! If you don't need 6' of mirror, I'd build vertically on either end of that counter top. Lots of little shelves for supplies, maybe some with glass doors, that sort of thing. You could go wild and put accent lights in it, if you wanted.

not sure of your location but if you live in a colder climate, but it being in the basement you may want to look at heated floor. if you planning tile for the floor, i my self know that my feet feel cool when stepping onto a tile floor, but when the tile is warm it is heavenly on the feet! just a thought.

Only one sink makes sense so make it a deep one...

A double vanity only suggests that the wife would even be allowed in the shave den. I'd still get the urinal and remodel her bath with a bidet added. You'll likely not see each other much after that...

With carte blanche, I would start with the directions (N,S,E,W?) which would aide in the placement of infrastructure. What are your needs?
For myself I would want low maintenance, stylish, utilitarian format.
Mini Sauna, shower, toilet, bidet, high volume fan(s), large sink with oversized counter-space. Lighting, Lots of bright lighting at the sink.
    A spot to Zen out.

    Hope the pics help.
