Nope!
Gilchrist also sold custom-branded razors from Joseph Elliot.
Chances are good there were at least several others we don't know because they didn't have identifiable logos.
Very early, Gilchrist (under the Ramapo Razor Company) likely produced his own razors with imported Sheffield workers, but his workshop burned down after only a short time in operation. It's possible some of the Gilchrist branded razors were also produced there, but the records are incredibly fuzzy.
Also, for reference, this is what Bayamontate's razor looked like before it was reground:
Also noteworthy, Gilchrist sold razors with the Wade & Butcher cross & arrow mark as well, but I don't have any handy pictures of those.
My dream is to collect the entire sequence of numbered Gilchrist razors -- of the 21 Gilchrist razors I have, only 9 are from the numbered sequence and 4 of those are pairs. The numbers go up to at least 44. I have a very tall hill to climb.-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.
