H.M. Christensen and Joseph Rogers & Sons
Hi,
2 new ebay find. First is an H.M. Christensen and the other is a Joseph Rogers & Sons. We will have to see how the Joseph Rogers & Sons cleans up. There is some red run on it, but at least it is high on tang not much on the foil.
Anyone have information on either of these?

Thanked: 3795The HM Christensen's are solid quality shavers. I really like the tang on the Rodgers razor.

Hi,
I thought the Christensen would be a nice clean up. The Joseph Rogers I'm think should get new scales. I'll have to see how the blade cleans up.

Thanked: 3795I know the scales have missing bits, but I'd try to lightly sand them and then dose them with neatsfoot oil. I'm a sucker for scales that have old personal engravings in them.

Hi,
Yes, tung of course. I'll see if I can find a small can of neatsfoot oil.

Those are some nice razors. The Chris razors to me are very under rated, all the ones Ive had have taken an edge very well and shave like a son of a #*%@!!!. As far as the Rodgers,Now thats a vintage, alright.Clean her up a little and see how she looks, then decide.I have a few razor I cant seem to make look new because if they made it this far,why change it.A lot of history behind that razor.Thats only my opinion.Have fun shaving and congrats on the alsome find!
