    Default Bartmann, Gondola, Reif

    Hey all,

My grandparents knew somebody who sadly passed away not too long ago.
They knew he shaved with a straight and asked if they could get the razors to give to their grandchild. That grandchild being me, luckily. Very nice of all these people.

So next up I'll list the razors,
anyone cares to comment on these, be my guest, I'm gonna do my research later on when I have some time, I've seen some of these mentioned before and I believe that they are all quality shavers

All the blades are nice, not too dirty, edges are also still nice, not alot of rust at all.
I don't know if I'm gonna polish 'em or just clean 'em up a bit, disinfect, shave with them or just keep and not use them (which is ashame, but I've got enough razors to shave with and I cba to polish and hone 'em up right now nor do I have the time)
I somehow feel weird shaving with the razors for some reason, has a morbid feel to them atm.
There's one razor that really intrigues me,a Bartmann.
All the blades are all pretty big in size looks like 6/8s or 7/8 or whatev, I'm not good with sizes.

So next up, I'll add some pictures and write down what the box and the razor say

    Razor #1

Hans Reif Solingen on box and on razor, 102 and a Reif logo on razor
    has some etching
    fancy scales too

    Razor #2

Box says Dorko solingen, not sure if the box and razor match, razor has no mention of Dorko on it

razor says Gondola made in germany, and Hersei Solingen
it also has some etching, the etching it says Solingen The Gondola Brand, Reg. Trade Mark

    Razor#3

    Has a flashy Goldish look
On the blade 89 Original Bartmann, Solingen, Germany; Manganese Steel

yes this is the way I received them, all original, I only polished the bartmann up for 2 minutes, but it was in pretty much perfect condition

    Default Bartmann revisited

I just picked up a Bartman 6/8 and it is a sweet blade. It is an amazing shaver I am very pleased!

    Thanks

Bartmann's are excellent, but your Gondola is going to amaze you with the keenness and smoothness of the shaves. I prize mine. I have not seen the other brand.
