    Default 6/8 J. Wostenholm & Son 1/4 Hallow

    Hi,

Here is my latest ebay find, a 6/8 J. Wostenholm & Son 1/4 Hallow Sheffield. It has almost no hone wear. The blade reads "The Celebrated hallow ground razor set ready for use."

These photos are before cleaning up. It came in, what I think is, Like new condition. I also honed it today. It took a really fine edge quickly. Just waiting for some whiskers to grow so I can take her for a test drive.

    Hi,

Yes there are. Often you wade through junk up to your elbows. But they are there from time to time.

    Hi Pete,

Thanks. I've been on a bit of a shopping spree these days. This was just a lucky find.

Excellent score! That blade looks like new. Let us know how it shaves-looks like a fairly stiff grind and should mow down any type of stubble.

Default There's a reason most Williams blades are 1/4 grinds with a slight smile

It's the smoothness & friendliness. I don't see a smile on the Wosty, but I'll bet you just LOVE that shave.

    'Gorgeous Blade. 'Grats.

    Hi,

I shaved with it today and yes, it plowed through the whiskers. It was a silent shave, not like the song my hallow grinds sing as I shave.

I think this is a keeper.
