Default Wolfius-cool logo etched in blade

Taking advantage of Small Business Saturday and the American Express discount SWMBO and I hit the antique mall. I've never heard of a Wolfius and would love to hear if anybody has a similar one but it's in good shape and I love the logo etched into the blade.

I'm not sure, It looks pre-1950's, but I could find almost nothing about this on the web.

I'm also interested in the writing that the owner put on this razor-I wonder what it means??

Looks like the owner was a fane of Frank Herbert's Dune. Well, that's what I saw when I first looked at it haha. Great looking razor!

The type of etch on the blade could help us date this blade. The patriotic etching were predominant on razors manufactured between 1880 and 1900. Wolfius was a german philosopher his real name was Christian Freiherr Von Wolff, and there was a razor manufacturer in Germany by the name of Wolff, Lane & Co. Maybe this German manufacturer made these blades for the American market. Hope this help a little bit. HOG

"Caper" posted here a couple of years ago with a pair of Wolfius that he had found. I don't know if he found any more info on them or not....
