    Default Clover

So I took my daughter to a gun show today and in the hustle and bustle I found one lonely man with a case full of straight razors. This little gem was irresistable.

Slight smile on the edge, teensy bit of super thin rust in the usual spots on the tang. I'm pretty stoked about it.

    Thumbs up

One thing I really want for my collection, which is still missing, is a set of razors with covered tangs.

Something about them just says classy to me...
    nice find!

You didn't miss much. Only one person there with razors and I had to talk him down to a more reasonable price. He had a nice collection, a lot of Wade & Butchers in various sizes and styles but almost all of them had frowning edges and he still wanted a mint for them.

That was the hardest part for me. I really want to get my hands on a light weight .38 to carry instead of my compact 9, but the wife says I have to get rid of a gun to buy a new one. And since I was carting around a 4 year old I didn't feel up to carrying the 9mm with me to try and sell/trade. I'm hoping that the one in Hburg at the end of the month is more productive for me in that aspect.

so bill, on a side note, have you found yourself perusing the area antique shops for more razors, and if so, save some for me when your out and about,

I'm definitely leaving a few in the flea markets... My wife makes fun of me when I go out to the flea market, not to mention it's a chore toting toddlers around in one so I don't make it out much. I'm hoping to buy a home soon so I've started packing up my tools and projects so it will be a few months before I get to buy any more to mess around with.
