Default Bad day at the flea markets

Went out to the flea markets today to pass time before the big game and had horrible luck. I kept finding old rotted and broken razors and the vendors kept telling me how I "just missed" some great razor a couple days ago!

Eventually I came across a pretty nice cheap one. I think I have to hold off my RAD for a bit but I've been wanting to try a Droescher.

Just be glad youve got Razors in your flea markets. Weve got nothing around here and the stuff the Antique markets have they think is made of gold. Looks to be a pretty solid razor.

yep, it's similar here. anything that isn't broken or rotted to the point of no return is $75+ it is insane.

Sounds like the same sellers at the antique stores I go to once in awhile ...Oh yeah we had one of those and it was just gorgeous but we sold it 15 minutes ago.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

That's a nice one and it should be an easy cleaning job.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

My sweet girlfriend bought me a S.R. Droescher "Black Smith" as a Christmas present.... It is a typical wonderful Solingen shaving machine! You will love yours....here's my surprise Christmas blade...

Awesome looking blade, it seems huge in that picture. How wide is it? The one I have looks much smaller. (talking about razors here)

If I'm reading Goins' correctly I think it was made in the very late 1800s. I'm excited to try this one once I get it cleaned up.

It is 13/16ths.... I believe it is more early to mid 1920's...
