Dubl Duck Win!
I always wanted a Dubl Duck, and got lucky this weekend. It needs some TLC, but it's overall, pretty nice.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

ugh! get rid of that pitting and watch it somewehere away from your other razors, preferrably in a ziplock bag. if it starts returning throw away the scales.
you've also got some serious honing to get rid of the nasty frown. your edge will be well within the bevel, but hopefully the pitting hasn't destroyed the steel completely and you can get it shaving.

If it proves to be Cell Rot, do not toss the scales just get them off the razor and save them in a baggie, those inlays can be lifted and put on new scales...
Clean it and wait like Gugimeister said, but the smell might tell you when you get it ...

Hmmm. I hate to be the guy in the room asking dumb questions but what exactly is cell rot? I see where the finish on the blade looks like its been damaged - possibly from being enclosed in the scales? But to throw the scales away? I was thinking the scales looked nice whereas the blade is what needs some work. Is cell rot something that affects celluloid specifically? A fungus? A razor disease? A wicked curse?
Anyway to GeauxLSU - sorry, better luck next time, I thought it looked like a beaut too...

Celluloid rot smells like vinegar. The look of the rust pattern is pathognomonic for celluloid rot. Even if you do not smell vinagar, remove the scales a.s.a.p.
