or if it was it'll explain why they didn't feel like putting their stamp on it (except that i always thought the stamps came first...)

Nice catch Gugi. I haven't tried one of these yet but from the information I have read from other's that have I would say Not made by Puma. Maybe made with Puma blanks but that's where it would end.

Dang it! My Chronik is not a Puma? LOL I'm not really sure what's in the circle. Do you mean the grind of the heel? Yes, that was fudged at the factory. Do you mean the spike/point at the stabilizers? That's just the angle of the photo.

On a side note, it's strange, but I feel that adding the legendary Chronik to my razor collection is a bit like mounting a stuffed jackalope above my fireplace. I can't explain why.

I do not want to be a spoilsport or a mythbuster but there's only one person in this world who claims Chronik razors are better than any other razor he ever touched. However he never allowed anyone with serious knowledge of razors to check his assertions. Dr Moss and a few others who are held in great esteem did not think Chroniks are a class of their own.

I hope you are right. I would hate to see newbs shell out loads of money for a Chronik and end up disappointed.

Yes, I think the Chronik is known more for its legend than for its shave-ability. On the other hand, it's a Solingen razor so it's probably pretty good.

The Chronik legend is a lot like Santa Claus (or the jackalope as mentioned above). It's fun to believe in, but not true...probably.
