    Cool Show us your scales!

So my razors are pretty generic. Black C&S scales, Faux wood Engles Leader, and yellow acrylic Genco. Blah. The Faux wood is kinda cool. The yellow acrylic is like the color of older turn signals. But nothing special.

So I thought I'd start a thread for guys to show off their unique or particularly sharp looking scales. Bright colors, wood grains, shapes, materials, carvings, etc. Whatever you have that's not the generic blacks or blondes.

Here are mine, simply b/c I'm starting the thread and figure it's only fair.

Many pretty razors I've put together, probably not the direction you were thinking, but I have a warm spot for this one.

It was marked $10 at an antique mall, but found out it was 30% off day when I got to the check out. I think the worm holes adds tons of character to this $7.00 Sheffield MJ Higgins

(following is edit/added after orig post)

Felt lucky to find . Original scales on Checker Wedge. Celluloid glitter scales

I figured I should post a few unusual ones I made. For those that may not have seen these:

First is Joseph Elliot with real gold scales, made with gold flakes

Next Krusis Brothers Printed Circuit Board scales

I agree. I'm digging the worm holes. No pun intended.

Here are a few I have rescaled and some I have not. Rescales are rescues from junk shop trash. These are all Sheffield's.

The bamboo looks to me like a human finger bone...which is kind of cool, until you find out its bamboo and not some type of bone.

The worm holes look cool, and the green scales jump out at my eye...might have to pick one of those up...down the road. I've overextended my razor budget for now.

I've made the scales for these 3 and I am in the process of finishing the 4th
The frameback scales are direct copies of the originals in ebony with a bone spacer
The second one is a 7/8 graves razor in bone with an ebony wedge
The third is a henckels 8/8 in red oak with a bone spacer
And the fourth is an IXL that is going to be dressed in dark horn with a brass spacer.
