Default My dad just found these in his basement...

I know absolutely nothing about razors so any info would be appreciated. Especially info pertaining to value. They don't look like anything too special so I dont really think they're worth all that much...

thanks in advance for any info you guys can provide

We don't do appraisals here, but three out of the four should clean up to be good shavers. The fourth one might or might not.

    Congrats on a good find!

If you want to know more about using them, this is the place to get started!

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

cool thanks. could you possibly point me in the right direction to finding the general value of these? even if they dont turn out to be worth enough to bother selling, I'll keep them for myself because I think they'd just be fun to have.

We really don't do price evaluations. If you are interested in price then put them on eBay.

On SRP the value is in the shave. Have those cleaned up, honed up and shave with them.

As with all family heirlooms they really are priceless. They really are the link to a link to your father, grandfather, and great grand father. I really wish I had some of these very personal idems from my family members.
Have the restored and honed. Use them and pass them down.

Go to ebay and do a search under shaving/straight razors and use each individual name (stamped on the blade not the box). In the left hand column of the page that comes up there will be a menu. You want to click on "completed items." If any of them have been sold recently you will see what they went for.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

ebay is your best be. Prices vary on razors. Seems a razor brings 10$ one week and the same razor brings 40$ the next week. or a razor that brings 10$ on ebay sells for 50$ and antiques store. of course ive seen great razors go for 5 or 10$ at a flea market.

    So razors are worth.

    1. What they sell for or
    2. What your willing to pay.

They look to be in good shape. I wouldn't worry about the value just get them honed and enjoy the shaves you get from them .

Some good looking razors there. Would be great if you decided to take up the art.
