Three oldies + an Injun
I found myself a few new projects in the wild today. Went to an antique store and they had a big glass jar full of old razors, so I picked out a few which I found interesting enough to restore.
Three VERY old wedges, a RH & sons (I make it about 1800 or so? Any of you guys got any info?), a Wade + Butcher (with scales made of what looks to be Gutta Percha, so 1850's?) and a William Revitt "real Damascus steel". Also got a Boker Red Injun which had a comb guard firmly rusted onto the blade. A bit of WD40 and some persuasion got it off.
They are all in very "challenging" condition, I know. But the wedges are far older than anything I am using now, so they will be worth the effort if I can get them shaving again.
Any info you guys could provide about these would be greatly appreciated

I just gave the W+B a light sand to see what I was dealing with under all the rust.
This is gonna be fun.

Actually one of the other razors has real Damascus steel stamped on the blade. I'll be curious to see what that looks like when I sand it back.
