Ever Ready Razor
Got this to go along with my American Razor Co. Straight Razor, I believe they are made by the same company. If my findings are correct "not sure" they were made by American Safety Razor Co.

Thanked: 220Nice razor! I have an Ever-Ready razor that's similar to this one, only mine came as an Ever-Ready Army Kit. It's in a green canvas wrap, that has straps inside to accomodate the pieces once it's dis-assembled, also has it's own Ever-Ready replacement blades. How old is this razor? Mine has a patent date on it of March 24, 1914. Also, have you tried shaving with this? I find they have a strange angle to them & are hard to shave with.

Blugiill,
That looks like a '1912' pattern; they were indeed made by ASR.
I have a few GEM/Ever-Ready 1912s, my favourite being my English Ever-Ready 1912.
The 1912s are highly rated as being superb shavers in the SE world.
For me, paired with the GEM PTFE Coated Stainless blades, they give me the best safety razor shave I have ever had
The 1924 GEM & the GEM Micromatic Open Combs and Clog-Prufs are also well worth a look
Good shaving with yours !
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ
