    Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what to do with the Bengall now. The hone wear is really quite pronounced and trying to work it out would mean taking away far too much metal. I could live with the wear and work around it, but I might go with Luke's suggestion and keep it in it's current condition as a keepsake. I did however do a bit of cleanup to the blade tonight to get rid of the rust near the pivot point. Just used 800 & 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and wet sanded the rust away until I was satisfied. There's still some pitting where the rust was, but nothing excessive and I'm happy with how it turned out. Polished up the blade a bit too and yes, I have even more pictures.

    Heh, knowing my grandfather and how stubborn and tough he was I wouldn't be surprised if he actually used them in that exact condition.
