Default Help me date my new Joseph Rodgers

I picked up this razor for $15 this weekend. It buffed up nicely and was relatively easy to sharpen. It really shaves beautifully! I'm curious to know how old this razor might be. Any guesses?

Not sure of an exact date, but, if I'm not mistaken, the mark "cutlers to their majesties" refers to the reign of Victoria and Albert. And with the England mark, I'd say 1890 and 1900.

    I disagree.

"Cutlers to Their Majesties" would be Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. So probably between 1901-1910.

Her Majesty Queen Victoria's husband was His Royal Highness, Albert, the Prince Consort. So razors made during Victoria's time were all marked "Cutlers to Her Majesty".

I was going by an old reference which showed similar marks and attributed them to Victoria.

I have a paperknife from about 1880 in my collection. THAT is marked "Joseph Rodgers & Sons - Cutlers to Her Majesty".

Anything marked "Their Majesties" would be after Victoria's time.

So razors made during Victoria's time were all marked "Cutlers to Her Majesty".
Nobody saw razors with the stamp "Cutlers to Her Majesty".
    Paper knives, yes.
And the stamp "Cutlers to Their Majesties" was used during reign of Queen Victoria. Fact confirmed by many sources.
So, this razor was made approximately 1891-1910. IMHO.
