Ti "le grelot form" in desert ironwood scales
11/16 blade and 1/4 hollow apparently,
Pic is up over in the "best and sexiest thread" also
Love how this looks, apparently I'm developing a preference for large thumb notches
Many thanks to steve at invisible edge for gretting this to me insanely fast. Great service from a guy who has probably forgotten more about these than i will ever know.Last edited by tekbow; 05-07-2011 at 03:32 PM.

Hello, Tekbow:
Yes, indeed, your Le Grelet is a looker. Congratulations. I have three Le Grelot razors, though nowhere as dashing as yours, and they are great shavers.
Regards,
Obie

Cheers guys, Am going to be grabbing a shower soon, and will put it to the test right after, so will see how well it shaves
Just to clarify, this isn't a Le Grelot blank, its new production "carbonsong C135" steel. I guess it's called "Le Grelot Form" due to the shape? Am looking forward to seeing how a 1/4 hollow handles ATG on my wirebrush stubble, as the full hollow and extra hollow i already have can manage it, but aren't always completely happy about it lol
Stoked about it though, am BIG into wood, wonderful material (comes from my love of guitars), and the scales on this are just beautiful looking (to my eyes anyway)
Edit: Just shaved with it, smooth is the word, and a definite improvement ATG although my technique still needs a LOT of work lol it makes a diff sound when stropping. that caught me out a bitLast edited by tekbow; 05-07-2011 at 06:36 PM.

Thanked: 12I haven't been on the forums for awhile and didn't know that they made this in 1/4 Hollow. I have the Le Grelot inspired in 1/2 Hollow.
It is one of the best looking razors in my small collection but not one of my favorite shavers.

This one seemed to shave well, very smooth on WTG and XTG, and better than my other more hollow razors ATG i think my overall technique is what needs works TBH

beautiful razor! i've been eyeing that one....even the mrs thinks its a beautiful work of art.
She's more a fan of the dovo Bismarck though, mainly for the price
