    Default My first Vintage

Just thought I would post a couple of pics of the W&B that I just purchased. Needs a little bit of work.
I'd love to hear from any of you guys who have some experience, is this alright or have I just bought a 'lemon', 38$ for this one.

Looks like a nice razor to me! some hand polishing would probably clean that blade up well! I like the etching!

You have found a "Lather Well" W&B and you found one in really really good shape, these are normally honed to death...

The Frosted Etch will come off with any abrasive measures so stay with polishing compounds..

This is one of the razors that I would HIGHLY recommend using a layer of tape to hone, the spines on these must be rather soft, because nearly every one I have seen and touched has very bad spine wear... Why risk such a nice specimen as you have found...

BTW they do take a very nice smooth edge when honed properly

i have sold at least 10 of them. That blade will take such a nice edge and give one of the smoothest shave you can get.
    Congratulations great purchase.
    Enjoy

    gssixgun,

Thankyou for your post, and your advice on the restore, I really appreciate your input. I have gained a lot from you honing vids on youtube.
