Yes they are pretty schweet!! I bought my first one about week ago. Came with the box, no name blade and a razor in need of a thorough cleaning. Kinda rough lookin but hard to beat for six dollars. Are you converting GEM blades for yours?

Just won another autostrop for $1.02 plus some other razors in the group(ever ready, gillete 3 piece, schick krona). The autrop that's coming looks alot better than the one I have.

That's a nice one, it will clean up better than you think, I bet. I've got two that came with a little metal box like that one. You can modify a Gem aka "Ted Pella" blade for both this one and the other one in your second post.

Nice score there my friend ! All those are really great razors, the SE's shave much better than the DE's IMO but they are all keepers. Here is a couple links where you can get blades for your Valet, that don't need to be modified, and for the 1912 Ever Ready, the Gem "Pella" blades. Your gonna love the shaves off the SE's you've got there !

Thanks for the links! I've been all over the net lately investigating these beauties. My next purchase is going to be the kangaroo autostrop strop that is being made.
