Default Another from my Grand Father

    Hello all.
Well I managed to get hold of another of my Granddads razors today. It's a long story as to why we have nothing of his but I have managed a couple of razors.
This one is a Bengall Tonsor made by T. R Cadmans & Sons. I don't really have any idea of the age sorry. As for the size, it's 17mm from the edge to the spine. I'm not sure how many 8ths of an inch that is sorry.
I'm just going to sit down and polish it up now.

Nice find, wish I had an heirloom razor like that but no luck for me.
I'm sure you'll be happy, yours look great and Bengalls are known to be great shavers.
    17mm is close to 5/8.
Let us know how she shaves.
    Good luck.

My heirloom is a circa 1920 Larkin... shaves great!

    Am I sad?

    Nope!

He shaved with it and now I'm shaving with it. Too bad he didn't know that before his passing, but I have to believe he knows it now... and is pleased. I know I am.

Well I think it's polished up real nice. Just a couple of hours with some Autosol. I honed it and had a shave. I don't have much experience as it's only my 4th attempt with a straight but it's been the closest and most comfortable so far. I'm seriously impressed by it.

    Nice razor! I think it's a 4/8 or 5/8.
