I have a similar one like this too, and the markings on the tang are realy confusing since all of them are different. Maybe it says only one date on the box?

I have a Heljestrand frameback with similar tang stamp. It also has more cities and dates on the blade. My understanding is that the dates and cities were years and places where the cutlers won medals at international competitions such as Worlds Fairs.

Thanked: 4Sibban, no date on the box. I did find out they were made between 1845-1918 or thereabouts.

I have two of of those razors in Ivory. They are great to shave with.

Thanked: 433I've got a few of those. All easy to hone and shave great! The last date on the blade is 1889, so sometime after that
