Default Wade & Butcher Antique Store Find - Can Someone Tell Me What I've Got?

    Hey Guys,

I was in the ATL a couple of weeks ago and picked this up for $10.00 at an antique store. The blade measures at 13/16" all the way down till close to the end, where it dips to 3/4". Obviously I bought it to hopefully restore it with new scales since these are broken. The blade has an etching of what appears to be a large building on one side and nothing on the other.

Any info on what this one is and a date range for it's manufacture would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and thanks for checking out my post!

That razor should clean up fine. It's got a bit of wonky hone wear (or lack thereof) at the toe. As for dates...I'd say 1880-1890

I just love those old WB's. They are a classic. One of the best shavers in my rotation.

    Enjoy it!@!

Nice find. Not much to restore there. A quick set of scales and a little stone gymnastics should make her a great addition to your rotation.
Look good back in black horn or some ebony, maybe macassar.

    Hello

The etching is a representaion of the Hyde Park's "Crystal Palace" built in 1851 for the Great Exhibition in UK, so the razor must date of that years (or few years later)

Please manage to keep the etching !

    Regards
