    Default An Old Standby

So since my primary source for straights seems to be pretty fished out at the moment, I went to check out a new place. My spider senses tingled as we walked in from the parking lot, I could feel it in my bones, they were here, all I had to do is find them. However, after an exhaustive search I only turned up a couple beat up old shavettes and the obligatory cases of really flashy Chinese/Pakistani straight razors. The later of course, came with the obligatory guy with his wallet on a chain attempting to convince me that "These razors are every bit as good a quality as came out of Solingen or Sheffield back in the day." Yeah, right, and wolverines make good house pets too. So yeah, I got shut out yesterday.

I decided to take a bit of comfort in an old standby and since my current reserve is running pretty low, I decided to pick up one of these when I was at Walmart today.

My friend, I have a bottle of English Leather that I was gifted with when I was barely 20 years old. I still have it, and it's still more than 1/2 full. It's got to be 30+ years old now. I'm going to have to dig it out and give it the test again...

    Thanks for sharing!!!
