Thanked: 114Bengall Razor?
I recently picked this up for $15. It appears to be in good shape, but I don’t know anything about this razor. Does anyone have any experience with this razor and/or maker?

Thanked: 46Bengall is a trademark of T.R. Cadman and son of Sheffield, England. Before that it belonged to T.R.'s dad/grandfather or something like that. They're very common here in Australia and I believe a few other old Empire countries but not so much in the US. I currently have two that belonged to my grandfather, both need some work. I've heard they are excellant shavers.
Could you post a pic of the other side, it may have more information on it.

Thanked: 1371I have a 4/8 Bengall that is my go-to razor if I need a smooth shave in a hurry.
I love that thing.

Thanked: 114Update: I used the razor this morning and, to my pleasant surprise, it is a superb shaver.
Thanks for everyone's responses. The backside of the tang is unmarked.
