Welcome to SRP.
Taylor Brothers was in Hamilton, Canada. They were the largest maker of cutlery in Canada in the early 1920's.
The firm was founded by Enoch Taylor when he came to Canada from Sheffield in 1885.E. Taylor died in 1906, and his sons took over the management.
The manufacture of razors was started in 1916. In 1919, when demand for razors decreased, they added butcher knives and house slicers to their manufacturing.
The company was closed in 1922.
P.S. Can we see the photo of the stamps(both sides)?Alex Ts.

A cat by any other name
I have one very much like it. The back scales were broke so I had max do 'er up for me.
I'll double check what my tang says as well. Looks like a rebranding of a very similar razor.

Interesting history.
Kayser Ellison & Co. is metallurgical plant in Sheffield. It was founded in 1825, and as I know, it's still in business.
Ok. It's blade steel.
And now we have two makers, really makers. They were not importers or like this.
A. Feist & Co. was founded in 1850, in Solingen. Registered 28th December, 1894.
During 1875-1890, the company name was Moon Cutlery Works.
In 1928, they added to the name Lunawerk.
The company was in business till 1948.
P.S. I can't understand, who really made this razor, Taylor Brothers or A. Feist & Co.
But the razor was made during period 1916-1922.Last edited by manah; 09-02-2011 at 10:18 PM.

bassguy, everything is right here.
The razor was made by A.FEIST & Cie LUNAWERK of Solingen from KAYSER, ELLISON & CO.'S steel.
Trademark Luna (reg.1903, pat.72000).
The razor was made 1928-1948.
But, on the razor at the beginning of the thread there is one more stamp - Taylor Brothers.
Or I've not understood properly. Maybe, only box by Taylor Brothers?Alex Ts.
