Joseph Allen & Sons 6/8" Non-XLL
I just fell in love with this for some reason, even with the amount of work it needs!
It just has a very nice, bold look to it - almost aggressive!
The makers stamp is really offset, with some of the text never making it onto the razor in the first place, and the Non-XLL trademark is only barely visible.
The scales are the original leather ones.
Anyway - enjoy;

I have a similar 7/8 which is even more aggressive looking, and it shaves like a dream. But we must all bow to Amond who has the most aggressive JA imaginable.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

I saw yours in a search Frankenstein, but do you have a link to Amond's?
Anyway, I've had a quick clean-up, unpinned the hinge, drilled the pivot out to 3mm (1/8" approx) and re-pinned in M3 A2 Stainless for the moment, although I have some nice M3 brass studding to match up nicely with the stainless nuts (well I had 3mm brass rod, an M3 die and too much time, so now I have M3 brass studding!). Turns out there was a lead wedge hiding under the silt of ages aswell.
It looks like either apprentice work or a cast-off/reject. Everything is off - that is to say that nothing is square! Doesn't look like it's ever been honed regularly, but it has a slight smile to be worked around. A flawed beauty, a rough diamond I still love it!
Enjoy;

My Allen that I'm talking about is this one:

I had another before but gave it away because I like bigger blades.
Here's Amund's. I still think about it, but not everyday:

Yeah that's the one of yours I found, very nice!
That's a beast of a razor in the other thread! And I'm jealous of how clean it is!
