Brian Brown damascus/ivory custom
I want to say thank you to Brian Brown for making me this imho very beautiful Straight razor, and to show it to all interested on this fine site.
I had been on Brian`s waiting list for some time, perhaps 2,5 months or so, and suddenly my razor was next on his list. The conversation went very well, and even if I speak so so English beeing a Norwegian, Brian had no problems understanding what I wanted. When I was offered Damascus steel I jumped on the offer immediately, and I told Brian that I like white/dark combinations very much. I also said I wanted an 8/8 Spanish point razor because I love large blades.
Brian went to work, and a few days later I saw the pictures of my razor he sent me. I was very satisfied with what I saw, and the waiting game for the postman began!
I had it in my hands 9 days later, not that bad from the US to Norway. When I opened the nice box I was stunned with the beauty of the Ivory scales and the pattern and shine in the large, thick, heavy blade. He also sent a nice personal note to the lucky receiver, me.
Yesterday morning I had a feeling the mail would bring me my first custom razor ever, so I did not shave before the postman had passed by my house. Out I went, and there the small packet from USPS was. Could not wait to shave, run inside, and after drooling a few minutes just looking and holding the beast, I stropped it a few gently times on linen/leather before I went to work.
The razor was incredible sharp, felt almost as sharp as a Feather blade, the balance was much to my liking, and it removed my beard like nothing had done before. I now understand what Robert and others mean when they say a shave is "uberclean", hehe. VERY satisfied with my first custom razor. The finish is also excellent. I can really say that owning a custom made straight razor made just for you is worth every penny.
Here you can see some pictures of him ( I can not say "her" to such a large, sharp animal of a razor, hehe), enjoy!
Thank you very much for making me the razor Brian!

Thank you!
Seems like Mr. Brown has a market here in Norway, you are in for a treat, the waiting game is the hard part, but it is worth the wait for sure. And in a strange way it feels nice to have something to look forward to also. Be sure to post picks when you receive your razor:-)
