Default J.A Henckles Razor and Badger Brush set

I was searching for a new/used brush and ran across this on the bay

There was only a few hours left and I thought it odd no bids.
So one of a couple scenarios
    1) it just slipped everyone because of the spelling of the Henckles, and I got a great deal as I was the only bidder.
    2) Or everyone saw it and knew better...
    3) other

Can anyone tell what kind of brush that is from the photo and description I was told the only words on it are "badger" regardless I like the looks of it. heck I even like the mug,

I wasn't even looking for another razor, but I hope this will still be a great one for my rotation especially the price at $25.00

57 views and a few days with no replies. I guess everyone thinks it was a bad deal.. . Oh well. They will arrive in a few days. And I think I will be happy....

EDIT: note to self step away from the forums while drinking. They cause me to be a wine bag. Sorry all.

The razor looks in great condition although it is hard to tell from the photo but let us know how it shaves!

For $25 I think you have done well!!!

I dont think people were thinking it was a bad deal but cant tell much from the pic and many are careful with ebay razors. A while back i got a w&b on ebay it was cheap and looked good on the pics, but it wasnt lots of uneven hone wear and you couldnt tell from the pics. That said hope you got a great one!!!

Considering a lot of places sell their shaving mugs alone for $25, I think you did alright.

Any Henckles is worth 25 in my opinion. ANything included with it is gravy!!

Good buy as far as I can tell. You will have to tell us how the razor is when you get it!!

    Best,

Well I can report back now, as I received the items. And I didn't do so good.

The razor looks like someone decided to sterilize it with a lighter, and blued warped about a 1/4 inch of the blade. I am bread knifing it and am going to have to take about 1/16 of the width off or more.

But these appear to be great blades and this one was never honed, at least i have lots of metal to work with.

And the badger brush is just an ever-ready badger. Not what I thought. At least the mug is kinda cool.

Oh and once again sorry for my drinking post above.. We all have our moments..

what do you mean by blued, do you mean he made the metal turn blue from heat?

Yes very much so, blue from a flame and high heat.

Well my friend im sorry to tell you that the blue you see from the heat means that the metal lost its temper and its pretty much toast!!
