Thanked: 247Alex! Look here! Caudano Torino 6/8.
I'm hoping someone will think this blade is as beautiful as I do. This came from a 1st generation Italian immigrant. The pics don't do it justice. I'm hoping our resident antiquary can tell me something about it. But if anyone else has information beyond the one post I could find, I'd be glad to hear it. Another country has now contributed to my SR collection!

I'm not sure, but I have some info.
Most likely the razor was made by C.Caudano company from Turin(Torino), Italy. The company was in business since 1854. It was knives/tools manufacture (manifattura coltellerie). As I found, one of trademarks was "Il Popolare"(The Popular).

Thanked: 247You do amazing work my good man! 20 minutes and you've got an advertisement! Well, you've proven it's Italian at the very least, and found a very likely company that may have produced it. Awesome! I was hoping I'd found something challenging for you. lol. Obviously not!

That's one good looking razor. Love that blade!! My eyes are obviously off but the pictures always make the blades look larger to me. I would have guessed that at least a 7/8ths. Nice addition!!
Regards,
Howard

Thanked: 247Well Howard, You've definitely got an eye for detail! To my eye it was in between, so I rounded down. For some reason, I can't call a razor a 13/16ths. lol.

Very Nice and unusual razor! Great find! It seems to me that the most important 1/16th is that one right above 6/8! Enjoy it!

I rest my case.
