    Thanks,hopefully someone may be able to date it and tell me what the handle is made of,im thinking it may be horn

    Neil Miller has some good information about D. Miller & Son in this post.

    The scales are almost certainly pressed horn. However, is that red color light from the environment or is it in the scales?

    Hi thanks for the info,the colour is in the scales when held upto a bright light.to look at its more of a brownish red colour

    Those might possibly be bone. I'm not sure they're original to the blade, either. But I don't really know enough about D. Miller & Sons to know for certain.
