    Default Goldedge

I just received my Dubl Duck Goldedge today from the Imperial Shave's ebay outlet.

It's in great shape, the blade is actually cleaner that it looks, ALMOST mirror shine.

The scales are sort of pinched towards the wedge end - is that normal? It doesn't affect closing the blade.

Unfortunately, the ducks are known for all sorts of warping of the scales. You got a nice looking blade, though.

    +1 for holli4pirating

I have two DD special, both with scale problems. One is not aligned, looks like time get it to and second start damaging blade when closing. I have to re pin both of them :-(

My almost identical DD has a very similar pinch to what you describe, only I have to be careful to guide the blade closed, as it tends to catch one side. I've been meaning to tap that pin a bit, but I just don't have the cojones to take a hammer to my only DD.

Mine has the same scale warp you describe, but it still centres OK, so I'll leave it alone. I'm always pretty careful when I close my razors anyway.

The wedge on my Goldedge almost seems too thin. It makes for a tight squeeze, but I guess that was the design.
