Thanked: 1Shoulderless ERN with worked spine
My recent EBay purchase just arrived. It is a shoulderless ERN with a worked spine, and "Mignon" on the blade. "Mignon" perhaps alludes to "small and pretty" for the French market?

Thats nice! The spinework is unusual too. Erns shave great! It's a keeper!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 1It just got honed on 4000, 8000 and 12000 grit stones, followed by a strop on .5 micron diamond on felt and then on english leather. The blade sings when stropped too:-) Now passes hanging hair test.

Nice Razor, this spinework is very unusual for an ERN, maybe added later.

Thanked: 1The spine work is very good. If it was added later, it was done by a professional.

i have an ERN one with that style of stippling filework on the spine, problably not a big marketing success back in the day but it is still very nice. i also have this on an tandeross razor.
Be just and fear not.
