After taking a brief break from straight razors all together, I came across a beautiful 7 day set that just took me right back into the obsession. On the top of the case it reads, "Lokola Rifle Meeting - 22 Aug 1909 - Match 12 500 yards - Won By - A. C. Pemberton." And the rest can be seen in these pictures, enjoy!

Fascinating set. 500 yd match? He wasn't a slouch.

Wonder if it's the same A.C. Pemberton that wrote THE COMPLETE CYCLIST in 1897?

Lol, no idea if it is the same set. I picked it up from a militaria show. They're already cleaning up quite well.

Wow, that is a really nice set. I am pretty new to the straight shaving world, I'm wondering what do sets like that go for? I'm sure it depends on condition, munacturer, etc, I'm curious as to what the average is.

i guess average depends...on ebay it's probably in the $500 range...out in the wild, you can find them priced a lot lower and a lot higher...

Ok, thanks for the info. Its hard for me, as a newby to straight razor shaving to tell what prices are fair and not-so-fair on places like Ebay. So I am trying to learn as much as I can.
