    Default Old and Shiny!

    Hi guys!

Excited by these two - hope you dont mind me sharing

First up is a very old Joseph Elliot - likely my oldest razor so far. Big long blade with the very faint remains of an illegible etch and some sweet patina. Faux frameback. One scale is had it (cracked at the wedge) but the other seems salvageable - will see when she emerges from the Neatsfoot.

Next is something special - Old and Shiny..

this is a Frederick Reynolds, near 1" wide at the toe, with the most dazzling mirror finish I have ever seen on an all original razor (no restoration here). This must have been a very special razor in its day, not a grind mark in sight. Looks likes its never seen hones. Has a partial crack at the wedge end of one scale - unpinning will likely finish the job so will have to think about that one. Stable for now though.

Enjoy the pics! look out for the rest of this weeks acquisitions - Im in control I swear
