I loved shaving with the Crystal DE blades until I started shaving with the Personna Med Prep blades. But everyone reacts differently to each blade. Let us know how your first straight shave goes. Be sure to take your time. You dont need to bleed to be welcome here.

No bleeding though as that would be no fun at all and I followed the advice here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...ead-first.html I'm in no rush and expect str8 shaving to have a much longer learning curve than when I switched to DE. I'm just enjoying the ride

No clue. Must've been factory pinned too tight or bad batch of plastic. I'd say both really. I was drying it off to put it away, noticed a crack, was like uh oh!, then it spread and disintegrated in my hands. I was very gentle with it as it's my first new baby that showed up.

I hope you're sending it back. If not, I would happily rescale it for you. I have some nice rare wood that would look really good on that blade. Just send it over to me here in Toronto and I'll hook you up, no charge, of course.

wow, dovo has certainly been on my mind lately as a razor company that is loosing my interest, I am seeing to much of this I really like my vintage dovo blades but dont think I am too fond of the new ones. I did just order a Bismark though
