Thanked: 3I loved shaving with the Crystal DE blades until I started shaving with the Personna Med Prep blades. But everyone reacts differently to each blade. Let us know how your first straight shave goes. Be sure to take your time. You dont need to bleed to be welcome here.

Well at first it felt like Christmas and then my tree caught fire and burnt my house down :*( First shave and my beard totally pwnd it.
No bleeding though as that would be no fun at all and I followed the advice here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...ead-first.html I'm in no rush and expect str8 shaving to have a much longer learning curve than when I switched to DE. I'm just enjoying the rideLast edited by AndrewK; 03-23-2012 at 10:42 PM.

No clue. Must've been factory pinned too tight or bad batch of plastic. I'd say both really. I was drying it off to put it away, noticed a crack, was like uh oh!, then it spread and disintegrated in my hands. I was very gentle with it as it's my first new baby that showed up.

I hope you're sending it back. If not, I would happily rescale it for you. I have some nice rare wood that would look really good on that blade. Just send it over to me here in Toronto and I'll hook you up, no charge, of course.
