Hey yall, I got my first 7 day set today. The gentleman on ebay settled on a REALLY good price for them and i'm paying with the bill me later option so I'm in good shape! Any who, The must have been sitting in their case unused for YEARS.. They are BRAND NEWWWWW!!!! The tang stamps say "150 Kiebitz Garantie" on the gold flaked side and GEBR. EMDE Solingen-Weyer Germany" on the other. If any of yall know any info or possible year these are from that would also be appreciated.. thanks!

I can't help you with any info but they sure are pretty. I notice you said "first 7 day set". Sounds like a potential case of RAD.

Let's see. . . . "GEBR." is the German contraction for brothers (Gebruder), like typing "BROS." in English.

Gloins' lists a cutlery manufacturer "EMDE BROS." by name but provides no information on them.

This Web site lists: "Gebrüder Emde, Solingen-Weyer in 1925 and 1928, Deusbergerstrasse 69 in 1939. Open-blade razor maker."

I would surmize that your seven day set was manufactured between 1925 and 1928.

    Congrats on your find!
    Namaste,
    Morty -_-
