    Default Stubby Opinions

Hey fellas, I picked up this stub tail today, for the price of lunch-- I'm so excited! My very limited knowledge of stubbies places this razor at about the turn of the century, let me know if ya'll agree.

As far as I can tell, the stamp reads "The AKIN" (with "THE" in a smaller font to the left), which has turned up nothing on my searches so far. So if anyone has heard of this model, or has alternate suggestions, please let me know.

Also, it came sans scales, and I'm planning on making some straight-style scales out of elk bone-- let me know what you guys think. BTW, sorry for the lousy picks, I'm a horrible photographer.

Seems to me that a set of straight -style scales out of elk bone would be apropriate for this razor for sure!

I think that the bone scales will look great on this blade, now I just am trying to come up with a way to to get my hands on some bullseye washers, to tie the whole look together.
