Cool G20 Scuttle (with actual pictures, so must've happened)

So while keeping HAD and SRAD at bay, I caught some fellow's post regarding the new, larger G20 scuttle from Georgetown Pottery. I had already bought an SRD scuttle, but unless I fill that one up directly from the espresso machine, that scuttle wouldn't say hot enough. However, the G20, with its 20 oz water reservoir should not suffer from lack of heat retention. Or, at least, that this the hope.

Ok, without further adieu, here are the pictures. The color selection is Hamada-Persimmon. Oh, I also got a small dish ($12) for my alum block. I can't wait to shave-test the new G20 tonight! Woohoo!

That's a good looking scuttle my friend! Love the matching bowl too.

Man I have been having issues with my SRD scuttle too. If I use near to boiling water it frags my soap. If I do not, I might as well not go through the trouble. Its weird though cause at first I had great warm lather for three passes just from hot tap. Now I soak the scuttle in a sink full of hot tap as well as refill it and the outside is hot but my brush is luke warm at best. alas maybe I am doing something wrong, but I doubt it

I wanted a G20 so you better post a good review lol
maybe a birthday gift to myself...hmmm

Posting a review of the G20 after tonight's shave. I'm really looking forward to filling up the G20's monstrous lather bowl.

The G20 is a lather king with plenty of thermal mass to get me through tonight's shave. I liked the larger inner bowl when it came to building up lather. All in all, I am very pleased with the new scuttle. Sure, it's considerably bigger than my SRD scuttle but bigger is better in this case. I'm very happy with my new purchase. Solidly built with excellent glazing. I'll definitely be buying more Georgetown Pottery in the future.

I think we're going to have to start a 'GP' club!
