If you're happy with it, why mess with things?
If there is rust at the pin you might consider dealing with that in a less intrusive way. A while back someone suggested to me to try polish on dental floss to get in under the scales. Worked beautifully. If that doesn't work then it might be in the interest of the blade's long-term condition to remove that pin and clean it up.
But if it's working for you as well as it sounds it is, I'd be tempted to leave things as they are.
Either way - enjoy it! That's a beautiful hunk of steel.

Thanks. I took another look at it after my shave. I cleaned up the blade with an old tooth brush and some gun oil at the pin. I think it will be okay. I see no rust on the pin and now I'm not sure it was rust on the blade at the pin. I think it was just dirty. Yeah, I am leaving it alone. Seems to hold the edge just fine after two shaves.
