"Christel" Solingen 11/16 Extra Full Hollow
When I got her - she used to look like this (she was an old girl, build for travel, but as far as I was able to see - the metal was almost untouched with only a few pitting spots, but otherwise quite all right) :
Well, I just mailed her to KING2011. I wanted her all cleaned up, rescaled with some nice wooden scales, properly honed on some of the best stones money can buy & ready for some serious shaving action.
He had removed the old and ugly "traveling handles", cleaned&polished her, rescaled her with Cocobolo Wood (high gloss polished and protected with Renaissance wax), inserted the Buffalo Horn wedge and pinned her with some nice "starry-looking" nickel-silver pins.He brought the lady out of her, so many times, easily...
This is what the postman delivered to me couple of days after he got it:
Well, You have just witnessed a Pygmalion like transformation
