Thanked: 43Antique store finds
I was in Winnipeg for a family get together and decided to stop by a few antique stores while I was there. I found a few nice razors for a good price.
First is a Boker Imperial. This is one that I have never seen before:
Second is a Boker Edelweiss. This one I thought was nice and found it interesting that it has 3 pin scales:
Third is a Stern and Schasseur "The Unique". It is a Sheffield steel blade but has broken scales. I will fix that up shortly.
Last is a blade I got from eBay actually. It's a Fredrick Reynolds with a blade etch of George Washington on it. Sadly there is some corrosion on the blade that covers a lot of it. I tried to get a picture of the etch but it's hard. The scales are bone I think and other than a split pivot on one side are in great shape. I will have to see if I can make some new ones or have some made maybe.
All in all I am very happy with all of these especially considering the first three were $10 a piece. Now on to the restore, rescale, hone and use stage.

THe scales on that Reynolds are horn. I have one that is very similar with a different etch.
It looked like this when I got it;
It looks like this now;
The edge on yours is in WAY better shape than mine was.
They're great shavers.

Thanked: 43Wullie, that is great looking FR. I was really happy to get this one. I'm a little disappointed to not be able to do anything about the etch but oh well. I honed it up tonight and I think it still needs a bit of tweaking but I'm close. I hope I can get a set of scales that are as close to original as possible. They are very nice.
